Description
Mapping Climate Change with GIS Analysis is a short course by Geograf.io Learn that provides an overview of performing sea level change analysis using the free and open source QGIS software platform. Participants will use GIS research methods to identify coastal areas that will potentially be inundated as a result of sea level change associated with anthropogenic climate change. More specifically, participants will learn to (1) obtain high-resolution digital elevation models (DEMs), (2) use raster analysis and map algebra techniques to estimate sea level change scenarios, and (3) create user-friendly maps of these scenarios with the mapping features provided by QGIS.
